This girl caught my eye: she wore a cute, handmade bear hat, and walked through the Boston cold, cheeks chapped red from the wind, still smiling. I wanted to document this snapshot of existence: to appreciate a girl walking to class, the image of peace, in a way that captured her happiness and beauty but didn’t objectify or exploit.
